You obviously have XP SP2 installed - good. You need ActiveX to run most online applications.

Once you have installed it for a specific Web site, you should not need to install it every time you visit that Web site.
yugotagoh is right! There is nothing wrong with installing it.

You need it for a lot of your programs and it is going to keep asking you until it is installed. You can't uninstall what isn't installed the way some of these answers are telling you to. If you have a virus protection set up, it will run the scan before you install it and make sure that nothing is attached. I have Windows XP, I DIDN'T';T HAVE A PROBLEM.
It might be a spyware program or a virus. Try checking the site below, or installing Yahoo Toolbar %26amp; using its Anti-Spy option.
It is your computer security working preventing other computres taking control of you active X. If it is a site that you trust like Yahoo you can say yes when the window comes up and it won't come up again until another site wants to use active x control and you can decide yes or no again.
