An ActiveX control window keeps poping, how to get rid of it?

Hello, I installed Mic. Explorer .7 and now everytime I open any website I get a box saying [A script is accessing some software (an ActiveX control) on this page which has been marked safe for scripting. do you want to allow this?] it is very annoying how do I get rid of it, anyone know? thanks. An ActiveX control window keeps poping, how to get rid of it?
Presumbly you are on Xp. Go to tools %26gt; internet options %26gt; advanced and tick the boxes which say ';disable script de-bugging';. Also lower your security and privacy levels (under the other tabs on internet options menu). Most people avoid the problem in the first place by using firefox as the main browser. Once you have got used to it, I doubt you would go back, and it's much more secure. Plus it doesn't use dangerous active x in the first place. They make it easy to transfer all your favo(u)rites etc

There is another possibility - some attack sites use this method to gain control of your computer. This used to happen to me a lot, particularly when looking for screensavers and the like. Install the web of trust

That tells you if the site you're visiting is a known attack site.

works with IE and firefoxAn ActiveX control window keeps poping, how to get rid of it?
Its there for your computers safety, but if your looking to rid of it...along the bar, in the upper right corner, there should be an ';X';. Click it and the ActiveX will go away. But theres no way to perminately rid of it from your computer, it will come back on later websites...just click the X everytime.
It is a safety feature so some ActiveX object doesn't eat your lunch, and blow out your computer.
