ActiveX control do you think this is a fake service?

..twice now Ive been prompt to install ActiveX when browsing and has installed a Malware.


Im under the impression that this service is involved in law and order. i will never in a life time bother with that service.


Even ccleaner finds files related to ActiveX and advisers you to delete them.ActiveX control do you think this is a fake service?

The technology for creating ActiveX controls is part of Microsoft's overall ActiveX set of technologies, chief of which is the Component Object Model (COM). ActiveX controls can be downloaded as small programs or animations for Web pages, but they can also be used for any commonly-needed task by an application program in the latest Windows and Macintosh environments.





Internet explorer ask you before install any activex control. My suggestion will be not install any active x if you are not sure about this and the publisher. You can download any activex control that are from microsoft or macromedia. But dont download any unknown publishers control.

all active x does is allow you to download. It's up to you to decide whether or not the software your downloading is from a reputable company.
