You can't do squat for the most part on the internet without ActiveX on your computer. In other words, a program is asking for permission to run so that you can view/run something. How do i get rid of activex control on my computer?
ActiveX is Microsoft's client side (i.e. web browser) scripting language. It is used to install stuff onto the PC and ';improve'; the functionality of web pages.

The best way to deal with it is to not use it. Install a standards compliant web browser like Firefox.
ActiveX is a component object model (COM) developed by Microsoft for Windows platforms. Software based on ActiveX technology is prevalent in the form of Internet Explorer plugins and, more commonly, in ActiveX controls, ActiveX based applications launched from web pages.

Basically, you need to allow some ActiveX components to run on your browser to enjoy using the Internet, however some are harmful so becareful which ones you allow to run. You can see them all by clicking:

Tools on the menu bar in Internet Explorer 7, then click manage add-ons.
one is to install the activex content , so no more freezing, and u can see more of the picture that are on display.

To update ActiveX add-ons Activex-management

Open Internet Explorer.

On the Tools menu, click Manage Add-ons.

In the Show box, click the arrow and select Add-ons that have been used by Internet Explorer.

In the list of add-ons, click the add-on you want to update, and then click Update ActiveX.
you dont want to get rid of that. That controls youre computer's graphics.
From your question it appears you are seeing (probably at top of your browser) an alert to install an ActiveX control or addon so as to be able to view certain content on that site.

This is a normal browser function set to give you the choice of whether you want it or not. If you do not want it click the ';X'; in that bar to close alert.

If you were actually wanting to uninstall an ActiveX control you all ready installed then there are a number of different ways to do this subject to what Windows version you are using and what browser version you are using.

You can read how to do this at Microsoft's website. Here is a link to that article:
