Where can I get free (not trial) activex control to download adobe flash player?

Youtube help says I need to install activex control to load adobe flash player to watch videos when I click on their link to download adobe flashplayer. When I click on ';install'; it does nothing. You need to enable Active X to get them. It isn't something that you can just download at random. Certain downloads will have their own Active X. Follow the steps below.





If you are using IE and in the administrator's account, follow these steps to enable Active X.





- Select Tools, then Internet Options from the menu at the top of the Internet Explorer window. The Internet Options window will appear.


- Select Security from the list of tabs at the top of the Internet Options window. The Security tab will appear.


- Select the Custom Level button. The Security Settings window will appear.


- Scroll down to the Download signed ActiveX controls entry and select the prompt radio button.


- Scroll down to the Run ActiveX controls and plugins entry and select the enabled radio button.


- Select the OK button to accept the changes





You may need to reboot for the settings to stick.





Note: Some sites have malicious Active X controls thus the reason for you to select prompt rather than automatically downloading them without your permission. If you visit a website that prompts for an Active X that you are uncertain about, don't accept it.

once you have downloaded it youtube will no longer be a problem.
